DAVE BUDGE
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Dave is widely regarded as Perth’s leading event management professionals, with more than 25 years’ experience delivering events at all levels.
As the Managing Director of TriEvents, Dave oversaw the operational component of the Rottnest Channel Swim for 10 years, the Busselton Festival of Triathlon for 20 years and played a vital role in the development of an annual triathlon series which successfully ran for 17 years. He was the Event Director for the 2016 World Masters Athletics Championships and has been involved with HBF Run for a Reason since its inception. Dave has also played a vital role in the delivery of many of WA’s largest mass participation events including City to Surf, Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma, the Redbull Wings for Life Relay and the RAC Channel 7 Christmas Pageant.
Dave has a real passion for events and thrives in the challenging environment they bring.
GEMMA DALE
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Gemma leads The Event Team with a background in project and sponsorship management. Her expertise lies in creating and executing plans, with a particular reference to fulfilling contractual obligations.
Gemma has played a vital role in The Event Teams’ existence, recognising early on that her and her colleagues from TriEvents had a passion that could not be ignored. Most recently, Gemma has played a major role in managing the risk management component of events and has been heavily involved in the development of COVID Safety Plans to ensure the ongoing delivery of events.
As the Managing Director, Gemma overseas all events and ensures the highest standards of delivery and client satisfaction.
BAILEY RANDAZZO
ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Bailey joined The Event Team as an intern in 2021, swiftly transitioning into our Administrative Manager role due to his exceptional skills and dedication. With a diploma in Sport and Event Management, he brings a unique blend of technological savvy and practical experience to our operations. Bailey is renowned for his in-depth understanding of registration systems and logic, pinpointing what works best for each event. Notably, Bailey has an intricate knowledge of technology and systems at both the backend and coding levels. His achievements include building innovative event apps, notably for the recent World Transplant Games. Bailey's portfolio boasts management roles in high-profile events such as Cape 2 Cape, Iron Man, Busselton Jetty Swim, Rottnest Channel Swim, HBF Run for a Reason, Dwellingup 100 & Mighty Jarrah Trail Run, a UCI event, and the World Transplant Games in Perth, among others. As our tech guru, Bailey is instrumental in driving the technological advancement of our events, ensuring seamless experiences for participants and organisers alike.

MARKETING AND EVENT MANAGER
A recent addition to The Event Team Cooper has swiftly left his mark with a diverse background and a passion for events.
His journey began as a volunteer at the Busselton Jetty Swim, fueling a growing desire for knowledge and success in the field. With a background in Design and Media, paired with a Diploma in Event Management, Cooper is the epitome of an emerging event professional.
Currently, he spearheads social media management for prominent events, including Backroads Gravel, Mighty Jarrah Trail Run, and Dwellingup 100 while also managing The Event Team accounts

ROSS
EVENT MANAGER
Geoff Ross brings a variety of operational experience to The Event Team and has been heavily involved since the early days. His first experience with events was as a volunteer at the 2016 World Masters Athletics Championships and from there, his experience grew rapidly.
Geoff now manages the operational components for various events, including the Rottnest Channel Swim, HBF Run for a Reason, Dwellingup 100 and The Mighty Jarrah Trail Run.
CATHY HOARE
VOLUNTEER MANAGER
Cathy is very well known within the events industry - if she’s not working at an event, you can almost guarantee that she is volunteering at one. She is an excellent all-rounder, having gained experience across all aspects of event delivery.
Cathy specialises in volunteer management and throughout her time with TriEvents and The Event Team, has successfully recruited and managed up to 900 volunteers for a single event.

WELCH
RISK & COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT
Bob Welch OAM is well known and highly regarded as the leading professional in risk management for community events and sport in WA. He has a proven track record for ensuring that events are delivered to a high safety standard and regularly presents on the subject of risk management.
He has over 30 years’ experience as a sport executive and more than 15 years experience in the events industry. From his involvement with TriEvents and now The Event Team, Bob has developed strong relationships with key stakeholders and is very well respected within the industry.
